If your a photographer. and a mom.. you know that taking pictures of your kids doesn’t always go “as planned.” Starting at about 12 months Briley became less than cooperative when it came to taking her pictures.. but TODAY was different. She.. asked.. to have her pictures taken. My jaw, literally hit the floor. This afternoon when it started to cool off a little (HA!) we started prepping things for my FULL week of July 4th themed child mini sessions. We had to pull my ’55 Ford to the front pasture and I started pulling things out (that had gotten shoved back during the move.) I had planned on getting some of her, but wasn’t sure when I’d get a chance with gymnastics, swim lessons and a full week.. but miraculously.. when my child woke from her nap she actually ASKED to have her pictures taken. No bribery.. no begging. Not even any help from daddy! Just me and her and she was such a good little sport.. even if we were only out there for about 20 minutes. ;) It was SO hot.

I rushed to get her dressed and out there before she changed her mind.. so I didn’t bring any many props.. just wanted to make sure I actually got some of her while she was interested. But I can’t wait to see all the kiddos this week and get to do all the fun things we have planned! Hope everyone has a great week.. and TRY to stay cool! :)

PS.. my baby was officially 2 1/2 on the 22nd.. how did this happen!? :(
